WRAP is pleased to be a supporting organization of the 2012 AAFA International Product Safety & Environmental Conference in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The conference will give apparel factory owners and suppliers a chance to learn from industry leaders about the latest regulatory standards in apparel including international compliance requirements, environmental regulations, and factory safety practices. “The AAFA is continuing to lead the way in disseminating product safety knowledge around the world. This will be their second such event in Bangladesh, and WRAP is very pleased to be supporting their efforts in this important sourcing destination,” says Avedis Seferian, President & CEO of WRAP. The keynote address will be delivered by Dan Mozena, U.S. Ambassador to Bangladesh. WRAP will bring its expertise in factory fire safety to the conference as well. Seferian will lead an afternoon session on the topic, helping factory owners understand the importance of fire awareness as well as how to reduce the risk of fires and what to do if one breaks out. “With all the good work WRAP has been doing in this arena through our fire safety training courses in Bangladesh, we are very proud to be leading the conversation in that session of the seminar,” says Seferian. The one-day conference will take place on Wednesday, December 5 at the Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel in Dhaka. Click here for more information.
