WRAP ist eine gemeinn\u00fctzige Organisation, die sich in den letzten 19 Jahren auf die \u00dcberpr\u00fcfung und Verbesserung der Arbeitsbedingungen in Fabriken auf der ganzen Welt konzentriert hat. Eines der Grundprinzipien von WRAP ist, dass Zwangsarbeit jeglicher Art bei der Beschaffung und Herstellung von Bekleidung, Schuhen und Accessoires keinen Platz hat.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"appear-on-scroll\">Im Dezember 2018 erfuhren wir von Berichten mehrerer Medien, dass eine WRAP-zertifizierte Fabrik, Hetian Taida, in Xinjiang im Nordwesten Chinas, Zwangsarbeiter aus einem von der Regierung betriebenen Umerziehungslager einsetzte. Unmittelbar nachdem wir von diesen schwerwiegenden Anschuldigungen erfahren hatten, leiteten wir eine Untersuchung ein, zu der auch die Entsendung eines unserer leitenden Pr\u00fcfer geh\u00f6rte, um eine vollst\u00e4ndige Vor-Ort-Pr\u00fcfung der Einrichtung durchzuf\u00fchren. Basierend auf den Ergebnissen dieser Untersuchung best\u00e4tigten wir, dass sich diese Einrichtung nicht auf dem Gel\u00e4nde des Umerziehungslagers befand, noch nicht einmal in unmittelbarer N\u00e4he dazu. Stattdessen befand es sich in einem v\u00f6llig separaten Industriegebiet, das auch andere Produktionsst\u00e4tten beherbergt und ohne physische Barrieren oder andere \u00fcbertriebene Sicherheitsma\u00dfnahmen leicht zug\u00e4nglich ist. Die Untersuchung umfasste Interviews mit einem erheblichen Teil der Belegschaft der Einrichtung, die best\u00e4tigten, dass sie nicht aus dem Umerziehungslager abgezogen wurden.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"appear-on-scroll\">Als Ergebnis dieser Untersuchung kamen wir zu dem Schluss, dass die von uns besuchte Einrichtung nicht am Einsatz von Zwangsarbeit beteiligt war, und wir gaben am 22. Dezember 2018 eine Erkl\u00e4rung dazu ab.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"appear-on-scroll\">Basierend auf den Vorw\u00fcrfen, dass Hetian Taida eine Einrichtung betreibt, in der Zwangsarbeit in einem Internierungslager eingesetzt wird, erlie\u00df die US-Zoll- und Grenzschutzbeh\u00f6rde (CBP) am 1. Oktober 2019 eine Withhold Release Order (WRO) f\u00fcr von Hetian Taida Apparel Co. hergestellte Bekleidung. Ltd. Diese WRO ist gegen die Muttergesellschaft Hetian Taida, anstelle der spezifischen Einrichtung in diesem Lager. Die von WRAP besuchte Einrichtung war, wie oben erw\u00e4hnt, eine v\u00f6llig andere Einheit. Unser organisatorischer Fokus liegt auf der anlagenbasierten Zertifizierung; Wir auditieren nur einzelne Produktionseinheiten, keine Mutterunternehmen, und wir k\u00f6nnen nur \u00fcber die Bedingungen in den spezifischen Einrichtungen sprechen, die wir auditiert haben. Alle Behauptungen, dass WRAP die Hetian Taida-Einrichtung im Internierungslager zertifiziert habe, sind einfach unwahr.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"appear-on-scroll\">Das Thema Zwangsarbeit ist nach wie vor von sehr hoher Bedeutung, und WRAP ist ein starker Bef\u00fcrworter einer erh\u00f6hten Wachsamkeit bei diesem Thema.
