WRAP ist eine gemeinn\u00fctzige Organisation, die sich in den letzten 18 Jahren auf die \u00dcberpr\u00fcfung und Verbesserung der Arbeitsbedingungen in Fabriken auf der ganzen Welt konzentriert hat. Eines der Grundprinzipien von WRAP ist, dass Zwangsarbeit jeglicher Art bei der Beschaffung und Herstellung von Bekleidung, Schuhen und Accessoires keinen Platz hat.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"appear-on-scroll wp-block-paragraph\">Letzte Woche waren wir \u00fcberrascht, Berichte von mehreren Medien zu h\u00f6ren, dass eine WRAP-zertifizierte Fabrik, Hetian Taida, in Xinjiang im Nordwesten Chinas, Zwangsarbeiter aus einem von der Regierung betriebenen Umerziehungslager einsetzt. Unmittelbar nachdem wir von diesen schwerwiegenden Anschuldigungen erfahren hatten, leiteten wir eine Untersuchung ein, zu der auch die Entsendung eines unserer leitenden Pr\u00fcfer geh\u00f6rte, um eine vollst\u00e4ndige Vor-Ort-Pr\u00fcfung der Einrichtung durchzuf\u00fchren. Aufgrund der Ergebnisse dieser Untersuchung sind wir zu dem Schluss gekommen, dass diese Einrichtung keine Zwangsarbeit einsetzt.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"appear-on-scroll wp-block-paragraph\">W\u00e4hrend der Untersuchung haben wir best\u00e4tigt, dass sich diese Einrichtung nicht auf dem Gel\u00e4nde des Umerziehungslagers befindet, noch nicht einmal in unmittelbarer N\u00e4he dazu. Stattdessen befindet es sich in einem v\u00f6llig separaten Industriepark, der auch andere Produktionsst\u00e4tten beherbergt, und ist ohne physische Barrieren oder andere \u00fcbertriebene Sicherheitsma\u00dfnahmen leicht zug\u00e4nglich. Die Untersuchung umfasste Interviews mit einem erheblichen Teil der Belegschaft der Einrichtung, die best\u00e4tigten, dass sie nicht aus dem Umerziehungslager abgezogen wurden. Die \u00fcberwiegende Mehrheit der Arbeiter wohnt in einem Wohnheim, das sich in einem separaten Geb\u00e4ude innerhalb des Industrieparks befindet. Dieser Schlafsaal wurde ebenfalls besucht und es wurde festgestellt, dass er normale Wohnr\u00e4ume beherbergt, die eine freie Bewegung erm\u00f6glichen.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"appear-on-scroll wp-block-paragraph\">Wie bei jeder Produktionsst\u00e4tte hat das Audit in einigen Bereichen Verbesserungsbedarf ergeben, und WRAP wird weiterhin mit der Einrichtung zusammenarbeiten, um diese anzugehen, aber angesichts der Ergebnisse unserer Untersuchung sind wir \u00fcberzeugt, dass diese spezielle Einrichtung nicht an der Verwendung beteiligt ist der Zwangsarbeit.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"appear-on-scroll wp-block-paragraph\">Unser organisatorischer Fokus liegt auf der anlagenbezogenen Zertifizierung und wir k\u00f6nnen nur zu den Bedingungen in den von uns gepr\u00fcften Einrichtungen sprechen. Das Thema Zwangsarbeit ist nach wie vor von sehr hoher Bedeutung, und WRAP ist weiterhin ein starker Bef\u00fcrworter eines verantwortungsvollen Journalismus, der darauf abzielt, das Bewusstsein f\u00fcr dieses Thema zu sch\u00e4rfen. Obwohl die Behauptungen bez\u00fcglich dieser speziellen Einrichtung nicht wahr sind, unterst\u00fctzen wir die Notwendigkeit, dieser Angelegenheit mehr Aufmerksamkeit zu schenken, und unterst\u00fctzen die Warnungen, die diese Ver\u00f6ffentlichungen an K\u00e4ufer zitieren, dass sie durch angemessene Sorgfaltspflicht sicherstellen m\u00fcssen, dass ihre Lieferketten frei von Zwangsarbeit bleiben .
