For a quarter century, Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) has stood as a trusted leader in social compliance, championing safe, lawful, humane, and ethical manufacturing practices in the sewn products sector. Today, with over 30 representatives in key sourcing destinations around the world, more than 43,000 certificates issued, and over 180 million lives positively impacted over the last 25 years, our silver anniversary<\/a> serves as a testament to WRAP\u2019s global presence and enduring legacy.<\/p>\n\n

As we look ahead, WRAP is entering an exciting era rooted in collaboration and leadership. Over the years, we have already built strong relationships with important trade associations both on the buyer side\u2014we are proud to be the official CSR partner of the American Apparel & Footwear Association<\/a>\u2014and the manufacturer side with Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) in place to help advance social responsibility in key sourcing destinations like Bangladesh<\/a> y Pavo<\/a>. In 2025, we expanded our global reach with strategic alliances and extended decades of expertise into new industries through strong partnerships.<\/p>\n\n

Expanding our Reach Globally<\/span><\/h3>\n\n

From Latin America to Central and South Asia, WRAP\u2019s 25el<\/sup> year was defined by a streak of transformative alliances with international trade associations and government bodies to strengthen social compliance, sustainability, and ethical standards across key manufacturing hubs. <\/p>\n\n

In Guatemala<\/strong>, our (MoU) with VESTEX,<\/a> the country\u2019s leading trade association for apparel and textile, reflects a shared vision we hold to build a future where market competitiveness does not have to compromise ethical sourcing. Through collaborative training, capacity building, and open knowledge exchange, this partnership aims to empower Guatemalan manufacturers and businesses to thrive in international markets with strengthened ethical and sustainable practices.<\/p>\n\n

In Uzbekist\u00e1n<\/strong>, our MoU with the Agency for Development of Light Industry<\/a> reflects our shared commitment to establish meaningful change where responsible sourcing is not just a goal, but a universal standard. With Uzbekistan continuing to emerge as a global sourcing destination, WRAP is proud to support their growth with a two-year roadmap to certify 100 textile and apparel enterprises under WRAP\u2019s social compliance framework and globally recognized standards. This collaboration will implement comprehensive training programs, ESG integration, and governance strengthening, and marks a significant step for Uzbekistan to position itself as a leader in ethical manufacturing.<\/p>\n\n

In Pakist\u00e1n<\/strong>, our Letter of Intent with the National Compliance Centre<\/a> under the Ministry of Commerce reflects a shared aspiration to forge accessible pathways for enterprises of every size to harness social compliance for supply chain due diligence. Together, we plan to launch specialized training programs, build a national compliance repository, and empower small and medium enterprises to meet international compliance standards. This landmark agreement marks a significant step for Pakistan\u2019s industrial landscape, as WRAP supports their journey toward achieving more ethical, sustainable, and globally competitive business practices as well as enhanced global trade readiness.<\/p>\n\n

New Partnerships and New Industries<\/span><\/h3>\n\n

While expanding our global reach in the sewn products sector, WRAP is also extending its expertise beyond that industry into other labor-intensive sectors that are not already covered by a credible, independent program, a strategic shift formally endorsed by our Board of Directors to ensure we evolve with the needs of the changing landscape of responsible production.<\/p>\n\n

Through our new<\/strong> partnership<\/strong> with the Ethical Supply Chain Program (ESCP) <\/a>\u2013 a global non-profit dedicated to improving labor standards, originally focused on toys \u2013 WRAP\u2019s regional teams will help suppliers strengthen labor standards and embed ethical practices across production facilities worldwide, initially focusing on helping ESCP and its members strengthen sourcing capabilities in countries like India and Bangladesh. Together, we are also rolling out initiatives like a co-branded Worker Helpline (starting in Vietnam, where it is already operational in 40 apparel facilities), to enhance workers\u2019 voices throughout global supply chains.<\/p>\n\n

In addition, we are helping the bicycle industry<\/strong> through a strategic MoU signed with the Taiwan Bicycle Association and the Bicycling Alliance for Sustainability<\/a>, underscoring a shared commitment to eliminate forced labor risks and promote safe, lawful, ethical, and humane working conditions across Taiwan\u2019s bicycle and bicycle accessory manufacturing ecosystems. Forced labor remains one of the most pervasive and complex challenges in global supply chains as it affects every industry and often lies hidden deep within production networks. Addressing this issue is not merely a compliance requirement but a moral imperative, and one that is at the very core of WRAP\u2019s mission.<\/p>\n\n

Looking to 2026 and Beyond<\/span><\/h3>\n\n

WRAP\u2019s 25th anniversary marks a pivotal milestone of growth and transformation, as we continue to build strategic partnerships with organizations to amplify our global impact and decades of expertise into new industries.<\/p>\n\n

As the landscape of social compliance continues to evolve in a rapidly changing world, WRAP remains committed to driving innovation and collaboration to address the most pressing challenges in supply chain management.
