Inmediatamente despu\u00e9s de enterarnos de estas graves acusaciones, iniciamos una investigaci\u00f3n, que incluy\u00f3 el env\u00edo de uno de nuestros auditores principales para realizar una auditor\u00eda completa de las instalaciones en el sitio. Con base en los hallazgos de esa investigaci\u00f3n, confirmamos que esta instalaci\u00f3n no estaba ubicada dentro de las instalaciones del campo de reeducaci\u00f3n, ni siquiera en las inmediaciones de este. En cambio, estaba en un parque industrial completamente separado, que tambi\u00e9n alberga otras instalaciones de producci\u00f3n y es de f\u00e1cil acceso sin barreras f\u00edsicas ni ning\u00fan otro tipo de seguridad excesiva. La investigaci\u00f3n incluy\u00f3 entrevistas con una parte significativa de la fuerza laboral en la instalaci\u00f3n, lo que confirm\u00f3 que no proced\u00edan del campo de reeducaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"appear-on-scroll wp-block-paragraph\">Como resultado de esa investigaci\u00f3n, concluimos que la instalaci\u00f3n que visitamos no estaba involucrada en el uso de trabajo forzoso y emitimos una declaraci\u00f3n al respecto el 22 de diciembre de 2018.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"appear-on-scroll wp-block-paragraph\">Con base en las acusaciones de que Hetian Taida est\u00e1 operando una instalaci\u00f3n que utiliza trabajo forzado dentro de un campo de detenci\u00f3n, el 1 de octubre de 2019, la Oficina de Aduanas y Protecci\u00f3n Fronteriza (CBP, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s) de EE. UU. emiti\u00f3 una orden de retenci\u00f3n de liberaci\u00f3n (WRO, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s) que cubre la ropa fabricada por Hetian Taida Apparel Co. Ltd. Esta WRO est\u00e1 en contra de la empresa matriz Hetian Taida, en lugar de la instalaci\u00f3n espec\u00edfica en ese campo. La instalaci\u00f3n que visit\u00f3 WRAP era, como se se\u00f1al\u00f3 anteriormente, una unidad completamente diferente. Nuestro enfoque organizacional est\u00e1 en la certificaci\u00f3n basada en las instalaciones; solo auditamos unidades de producci\u00f3n individuales, no empresas matrices, y solo podemos hablar de las condiciones en las instalaciones espec\u00edficas que hemos auditado.
