“My work ensures that third-party monitoring firms we work alongside are well-informed of WRAP’s reporting and audit standards. I also review and confirm that facility reports we receive are eligible to receive WRAP Certification. More generally this work serves to aid in maintaining the program’s quality, as facilities certified by WRAP reflect our social compliance standards. I have seen a great effort afforded to reconfiguring the processes in the organization that will make our work more effective. An example of this ongoing reconfiguration is that the Compliance Administration Department has taken in oversight of WRAP’s training program. Since the Compliance Administration Department is the body that communicates WRAP’s reporting and audit standards, having a more direct involvement in the training program will ensure that these standards are more effectively communicated to the auditors that carry out WRAP audits.

WRAP really has solid ground to stand on when advocating for social compliance, especially in a sector as large as apparel that has wide-ranging implications on the lives of everyday consumers and the workforce that produces the world’s clothing and textiles. I’m excited to see how WRAP will leverage this position to break into diverse markets and continue to support facilities and their workers in the industry.”
