The Lima Chamber of Commerce (CCL) and Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) are pleased to announce the signing of a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that formalizes a shared commitment to advancing responsible business practices, improving competitiveness, and expanding global market access for Peruvian apparel and textile companies.

CCL is a leading trade association representing businesses across Peru, with a strong focus on supporting the apparel and textile sector. Its mission includes driving sustainability, strengthening competitiveness, and helping member companies succeed in international markets.

WRAP is the world’s largest independent certification program focused on promoting safe, lawful, humane, and ethical working conditions. Through its globally recognized audit and certification system, WRAP helps facilities meet internationally accepted standards for social responsibility.

Together, CCL and WRAP are forming a strategic collaboration that will bring new opportunities, resources, and support to Peru’s apparel and textile industry.

Under the MoU, the Parties agree to work together to promote social responsibility and support businesses seeking to meet global compliance expectations.

WRAP will support CCL by delivering training to staff and member companies on social responsibility audit standards, certification processes, and best practices for maintaining ethical and compliant operations. Beyond these sessions, WRAP will also collaborate with CCL on broader training initiatives aimed at strengthening knowledge and performance across Peru’s apparel and textile sector. In addition, WRAP will participate in select industry events organized or promoted by CCL, helping raise awareness about responsible manufacturing and offering valuable insights to businesses seeking to enhance their global competitiveness.
