On March 24, 2026, WRAP signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CAMTEX, El Salvador’s leading trade association for the apparel, textile, and industrial park sectors. This partnership marks an important step forward in advancing social responsibility, sustainability, and ethical manufacturing practices across one of Central America’s most important textile and apparel hubs.
A Shared Vision for Responsible Manufacturing
Through this agreement, both organizations reaffirm their shared goal of strengthening social responsibility standards and supporting businesses as they meet global compliance expectations. Under the terms of the MoU, WRAP will work with CAMTEX to provide capacity‑building support for its staff and member companies, including guidance on social responsibility audit requirements, certification pathways, and practical approaches to sustaining ethical and compliant operations.
In addition to targeted training sessions, WRAP will partner with CAMTEX on wider learning initiatives designed to build skills and elevate performance across El Salvador’s apparel, textile, and other labor‑intensive manufacturing sectors. WRAP will also engage in selected CAMTEX‑led industry events, helping promote responsible manufacturing practices and sharing insights to support member companies in strengthening their position in global markets.
