
Debra Langley
Debra is a Venture Partner with Lyra Ventures, a global fund based in Singapore that focuses on companies that are reinventing the business of fashion. In addition, she is a consultant to fashion, retail and related technology companies, providing guidance on brand and product positioning, international expansion, and funding strategies. Debra is also a member of the advisory council for Vogue Singapore and was an advisor and mentor to The Bridge Fashion Incubator, which launched in 2019 as the first incubation program in Southeast Asia to work at the intersection of fashion, technology, and sustainability.
Previously, Debra was the founder and CEO of Inverted Edge, a retail venture specializing in contemporary Asian fashion brands that were an early online-offline proposition. Before this, she was President, DKNY JEANS International, leading the business in all non-US markets, and President Asia-Pacific for Borderlinx, a global e-commerce enabler. Prior to that, she worked with early-stage companies in the US, and in partnership with philanthropist Michael Milken, she was a co-founder of an online health and wellness platform.
Debra has also held a business development position in New York for the international division of the Hearst Corporation, where she focused on expanding Hearst media properties into Asia, and with The Economist Group, where she worked with the Economist Intelligence Unit. She is a US and New Zealand citizen and currently lives in Singapore.
