Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) and the American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) have issued joint guidance regarding best practices for monitoring working hours in facilities. The purpose of this guide is to help companies achieve two goals:

  • Attain transparency into the actual hours being worked by employees in a supplier factory, and;
  • Address the root causes that lead to excessive working hours in the first place, in order to work towards reducing actual working hours to the maximum allowed under national law (aka continuous improvement).
