WRAP is excited to announce a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with VESTEX, the leading trade association for Guatemala’s apparel and textile sector. The MoU was signed on November 20, 2025, in Guatemala City, with senior leaders for both organizations present. This strategic partnership underscores a shared commitment to competitiveness, sustainability, and social responsibility within the apparel and textile industry in Guatemala. By joining forces, VESTEX and WRAP aim to strengthen standards and practices that ensure responsible production and enhance international market access for Guatemalan businesses.

Under the MoU, the organizations agree to collaborate in the following ways:
- Information Sharing
VESTEX and WRAP will maintain regular communication to exchange updates on policies, standards, and best practices related to social responsibility, including details about WRAP’s audit and certification programs. - Training and Capacity Building
WRAP will support VESTEX in training its member companies and staff at least once per year on social responsibility audit standards, certification processes, and related topics. Additionally, WRAP will collaborate on other training initiatives to strengthen compliance and ethical practices across the industry. - Industry Engagement
WRAP will participate in and present at the Guatemala Apparel Sourcing Show, the region’s premier trade fair dedicated to the apparel and textile industry. This engagement will provide valuable insights and foster dialogue on global standards and responsible sourcing.
